“Vote blue no matter who” bitch
Lfg, “Israel comes to me in my dreams” ass Haley fucking Stevens lost
We gotta have a serious conversation about these massive dipshits who came out in droves to surrender to Israel, when the alternative was literally free healthcare and a social safety net.
It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.
Now if they aren’t even AIPAC funded… well that’s just sad. Even a reddit mod gets a delusion of power when on a trip.

Abdul got 15899 votes in Dearborn in this primary election.
Kamala Harris got 15189 votes in Dearborn during the general presidential election.
I think that is a meaningful statistic.
Hard to tell much of anything considering this is a primary vs a full blow presidential election but who knows.
That’s entirely the point. Primaries, especially in non-presidential election years, are notorious for extremely low voter turnout.
The candidate in this senate primary pulled more votes than the nominee in a presidential general election.
That simply shows that this was a hotly contested primary that drew out voters in Deerborn, okay no real argument from here, I agree but what else are you trying to point out with this isolated statistic?
I mean okay, 2024 primary had a 24 percent turn out rate and the general had a 75 percent turnout rate while this 2026 primary had a 27 percent turn out rate overall.
All of this doesn’t tell me much outside of the this we’ve both said other than maybe we’d expect a mild uptick in voter turnout in the general.
what else are you trying to point out with this isolated statistic?
People are slowly, but finally waking up.
abdul’s 27% turnout got more votes than kamala’s 75% turnout, which is notable. both directions, too. the other thing i’d draw from this is that harris was not a good candidate and that el-sayed is.
just first glance impressions though, i’d want to dig into the data before making any authoritative claims
Abdul for president?
It wasn’t a blowout if you forget to look at how much money AIPAC spent.
$70 million, if I remember correctly
I believe they spent $35 million on Haley Stevens, and her campaign spend $70 million total
And it’s a primary.
Citizens United was a mistake. At this rate, 2026 might have more money put into it than general elections 1-2 decades prior.
Makes sense. General elections don’t matter to the donor class because, to them, an establishment neoliberal dem is only slightly more agreeable than a child raping demonic republican; but they simply will not tolerate a left-winger. Lovely bunch of humans we have running the show.
Michigan Dems will vote blue no matter who, we had a primary we know outlr canidates and now we unite going forward.
One can only hope; centrists tend to be pretty flaky.
Exactly. Centrist may choose not to vote.
As are progressives
No? Statistically progressives tend to vote blue no matter who more than centrists by a fair margin.
I’m interested in the source for that, the fact that we don’t have president Harris speaks against that.
Where’s your source that progressives stayed home more than centrists? You demand sources from others but provide none of your own.
I didn’t quote anything specific other then my feels and obervations, if you tell me a source supports an alternate/correct assessment Im all ears/eyes.
No. You’re telling people their anecdotes aren’t good enough, but you’re here arguing your gut feelings are enough. The problem is you’re a hypocrite demanding a higher level of proof than you yourself are willing to provide.
it wasn’t progressives who stayed home dolt
So we have president Harris and not Trump?
FYI, Pew Research found that only 85% of Biden voters showed up in 2024. If all eligible voters had shown up, though, Harris would have lost with 45%.
The anointed one gleefully embracing the most lethal neo-conservative partnership in the world, that Harris?
You speak of facts, but conveniently leave out the fact that Trump walloped her so badly he won by a wider margin than there were self-identified protest vote progressives to begin with. It literally made no difference how they voted.
I hope she runs again in ‘28 and has to face an actual primary vote where she will once again receive single digit support. Who knows, maybe if she moves even further right she can pick up some more maga voters and break into the double digits lmao.
The question is would she have been wolloped if the party was united behind her?
That question doesn’t make sense. You might as well be asking why Democrats didn’t rally behind Nikki Haley. Still, my answer remains the same:
It’s wrong to blame the voters for a garbage candidate. Please stop doing that, and demand better of our “representatives” instead.
https://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/17/bernie-sanders-hillary-clinton-242819
Sanders appeared to be referring to a YouGov survey that found that 24 percent of those who voted for Clinton during the 2008 primary backed McCain over Democratic nominee Obama in the general election.
Fully 12 percent of people who voted for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries voted for President Trump in the general election. That is according to the data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study
So I’m tracking HRC said Bernie (the progressive) didn’t bring his supporters around in '16 like she did for Obama in '08.
The second link won’t load.
It doesn’t surprise me they didn’t fall in line I didn’t at that time either.
I’m being argumentative here for a couple reasons, I just don’t think MI dems can push him over the line since he’s not doing all that well in the places he needs to do well like metro Detroit, so he needs places like Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Both of those cities will go his way but the counties those cities reside in might not which is a problem.
Second I enjoy trolling onlime progressives for their holier than thou because they seem to think that the party needs to adopt all of their views even if a generic democrat vote with the party a vast majority of the time.
We can argue that the votes they don’t follow party line are the important votes, my argument is they did nothing to try to earn that vote just expected it to happen.
In the end the party is endorsing his run so it seems there’s not too much to complain about.
She didn’t bring her supporters around for '08. Remember PUMA’s? Pepperidge farms remembers.
A higher percentage of Bernie voters voted for Clinton in 2016 than Clinton voters voted for Obama in 2008.
You’re literally just making shit up here completely to justify your position.
I enjoy trolling onlime progressives
first off, on lime?
second, fuck right off. you’re nothing but disingenuous snark and attacking the very people who overwhelmingly come out every time. the problem is NOT progressives.
I enjoy mocking on lime chuds like you.
I voted for her, every progressive I know did too. Maybe you’re thinking of the protest votes against genocide? I’m not sure if they were progressive.
The protests (at least online) all came from progressives so I can only assume that the split democatic vote cost Kamala.
You know what they say about assuming…
nope. progressives aren’t radical leftists. the radical leftists who thought trump would be better for palestine did that.
I didn’t know they were progressive I thought they were liberal for some reason. Thanks for clearing it up. For what it’s worth, people tried to talk them out of it, tried hard.
lol get fucked. progressives show up while people like you stay home whining about progressives.
They don’t and thats the point
You demanded other people here cite a source, now it’s your fucking turn. Cite or GTFO.
Please show me.where I’ve sited a specific source
Get some fucking reading comprehension. What part of “cite or GTFO” did you not understand?
so the DSA managed to get one out of pure luck because McMorrow didn’t pull out quick enough
this guy seems ok though, hope he doesn’t fuck it up and go full commie
so the DSA managed to get one out of pure luck
Al-Sayed isn’t a DSA member, nor is he endorsed by DSA
hope he doesn’t fuck it up and go full commie
I hope he goes full Tankie. I want him to make Stalin look like an Anarchist and personally drag every healthcare CEO to the Ms. Rachel Zohran Mamdani Memorial Gulag, outside of Dearborn, where they will be summarily 9/11’d to death
Yeah, blue no matter who right you bunch of worthless, hypocritical assholes?
I’m stuck having to vote for Katie Hobbs who’s supposedly running with a god damn Republican so you assholes better man the fuck up too.
https://www.commondreams.org/news/abdul-el-seyed-democratic-endorsements
“Shortly after The Associated Press projected El-Sayed as the victor in the closely watched primary, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) released a joint statement supporting the newly minted nominee.”
"Abdul El-Sayed has run an energetic campaign that inspired thousands of Michiganders across the state, with a clear focus on lowering costs and standing up for working families,” they said. “Democrats are united by a common purpose: putting a check on [President] Donald Trump by defeating his Republican enablers and taking back the Senate.”
Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.), El-Sayed’s top rival for the Democratic nomination, conceded the race on Wednesday morning and offered “my full support as we work to defeat Mike Rogers this November.”
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who had endorsed Stevens, also threw her support behind El-Sayed and all other Michigan Democratic candidates. “They’ve got my support as we fight like hell together to win in November,” said Whitmer. “Together, let’s stop MAGA Republicans so we can get to work and deliver results for the people of Michigan.”
It explicitly is “vote blue no matter who”, you raging illiterate.
Maybe if you organized and formed a broad grassroots movement based around communication to catch a W, like Michiganders did, instead of being a vitriolic dickhead, you’d have better options.
I mean some of us who said that actually meant it. Despite all of the wailing, tactical voting remains the correct way to participate in first past the post elections, even for leftists.
Tactical voting from a group of people that only have propaganda to work with instead of facts means you’re just guessing.
Tactical voting may be the correct way to participate in FPTP elections, but unfortunately still doesn’t lead to a good outcome, just like leaping out the window of a burning skyscraper to avoid being burned alive is the better choice.
I agree with you. I should have said that–organizing outside of electoral politics is essential.
Yeah, it makes for a simple effective slogan. Unfortunately the neoliberals specifically are the big flaw in it. As they openly won’t. There needs to be a simple catchy way to convey voting against Republicans in the most effective way possible. Which often but not always would be voting blue.
How 'bout “It’s us or the bigots”
Because it isn’t and unfortunately can’t be. That’s the sort of luxury only someone with control can be afforded. And we don’t have that. Unless you’re privileged enough to live in a blue state/region.
Sometimes you have to Ally with someone else you would normally be against just to make sure the worst possible person doesn’t succeed. That is, if you hope to accomplish anything. Otherwise it’s just empty virtue signaling here.
So now that it’s done Haley Stevens is going to concede and back El-Sayed right? Blue no matter who???
We’re fucking waiting you little hobbit.
Edit: I should have looked harder. She did do those things. My bad.
A quick search shows she already did, what’s with the vitriol?
Angry leftists raging and wondering why people side eye them.
i don’t wonder. i have charts and graphs explaining why people side-eye me. there’s even a powerpoint!
It’s hard not to be angry when the world is on fire
are the leftists in the thread with us now?
Yeah those first two comments.
Shouldn’t be that hard to figure out.
i mean fair but …”democrat primary” does not mean leftist. they’re still capitalist so, inherently not leftist, per se.
Yeah I know.
And even if you’d agree someone was a leftist other leftists would say they’re definitely not a leftist because of other reasons.
I guess you commented as I was checking and making the edit. Yep, you’re right.
The vitriol is real, but in this case undeserved.
There historically has been a lot of reluctance to. And there was a lot of dirty campaigning in the primaries. Like what you’d expect in the general normally. Not to mention there’s been a lot of baseless neoliberal pearl clutching, not strictly related to this in particular that’s already getting ugly. It was never a given they would concede magnanimously. But so far it seems they have. Which is good. Hopefully the sooner people like James Carville or Bill Maher switch their registrations to Republican. The situation will only improve.
Yes, bud, she did. Your bad, absolutely.
Yes she did, hours before your comment.
Holy smokes broski! And you made your comment literally hours after I immediately corrected myself in the edit.
So…… I gotta ask, your thinker broken or what?
I think she did
I mean, lots of consequential wins were by slim margins, this should be celebrated even if it wasn’t a landslide
This isn’ta slim margin. If it was opposite they would have called this a blowout. They never call three points a slim margin when it’s their guy they want to win.
After two decades of donating and volunteering for progressives, hell yes this should be celebrated.
This man has policy ideas that are good. Policy over party, yet cool he’s gonna caucus with the less crappy party.
El-Sayed specifically said that he is not a socialist, so I don’t see why he’d fail to see full support for the general election. People confuse opposition to a specific label (a label with a great deal of negative baggage) with opposition to a specific set of policies.
The Democrat establishment don’t confuse that. They are against socialist policies full stop, and they only use the socialist label to fearmonger in support of that .
People confuse opposition to a specific label (a label with a great deal of negative baggage) with opposition to a specific set of policies.
No offense but that’s exactly what you did. The party establishment uses the socialism rhetoric to its advantage, but ultimately what they don’t want is for the rich to pay for their fair share.
You know exactly why.
If Obama endorsed Abdul… It’s over for the Republicans. The older black vote went to Stevens in the primary.
If this was a close lose that would still be a win because of how close it was.
wondering if the state there says “primary winner is the candidate” and if they planned on still running the other guy since the dem leadership is pro israel anyway.
Because terminally online progressives need to find offence or they can’t sleep at night.
Second they’re worried the party will do them what they’ve done to the party
Oh, so it’ll support them and give them votes and money even as they repeatedly spit in its face? Why would they be afraid of that?
I scheduled an appointment with president Harris so you guys can hash it all out. I’m sure your totally achievable list of demands you won’t compromise on will get settled at that meeting.
The fact you’re still this salty your genocidal crooked cop lost a popularity contest to a rotten tangerine with fascist tendencies and still blaming the people who wanted a better candidate tells me you’re neither a serious person nor a moral one, so please stay mad. Please die mad about it.
