It’s an earthquake to have Bernie Sanders’s candidate defeat Gretchen Whitmer’s candidate in Michigan. But the real goal is to keep Donald Trump’s candidate from winning this seat.
Because it isn’t and unfortunately can’t be. That’s the sort of luxury only someone with control can be afforded. And we don’t have that. Unless you’re privileged enough to live in a blue state/region.
Sometimes you have to Ally with someone else you would normally be against just to make sure the worst possible person doesn’t succeed. That is, if you hope to accomplish anything. Otherwise it’s just empty virtue signaling here.
