How do you find specific communities on irc and xmpp? Is that possible?

Maybe thats kind of the difficult part for me. I kinda like almost everything. Don’t really have a specific genre or specific type of game I like to play.

I’ve used matrix in the past but mostly for team chats. Is there some directory where you can find groups/topics?

I suppose there should still be some running?

Banking apps.

I think there should be a standard design developed and open-sourced by the government. This would use apis that banks have to provide to access their services.

Some people /orgs can then create alternative apps that fit their need while still having access to their bank.

A bit like being able to choose whatever email client you use regardless of what mail provider you end up using.

So what services are pictured here?
I see:

• Messaging: Signal & Matrix
• OpenWRT & something?
• Search: SearchXNG
• OS: Linux
• Downloads: Qbittorrent
• Fediverse, to connect them all
