Now we understand why Trump didn’t want [the Epstein files] released.

Just a week before the midterm elections, which are already shaping up to be a bloodbath for the GOP, Democrats have dropped a bombshell. “A growing body of evidence demonstrates that Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s,” states a just-released report from the Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee.

Additionally, they claim that Trump has leveraged his FBI and DOJ to cover up the evidence, and have now called for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate any potential wrongdoing.

Dems were just waiting for the news to have maximal political impact when they announce their conclusion. Right before the midterms hopefully moves some voters and also sets them up to impeach if they win.

Yeah… if Republicans lose the midterms, Trump is a lame duck and some Republicans might be ready to break ranks. It’s a long shot, but it’s a chance. Either way, making the conversation in the media about Trump’s Epstein rapes is a good way to control the narrative up to 2028. Whoever the Republican candidates are will be trying to distance themselves from him.

About a third of Repulican senators and all the Democrats would need to vote to remove him. That doesn’t seem likely.

The more places Democrats get, the less Republicans you need for the vote.

In the other hand, if the situation is close to 50-50 with Democrats having a very slight majority in both houses, maybe Republicans would be ready for a deal where JD Vance becomes the president and the government will be allowed to successfully pass at least some laws? After all, Vance won’t be really much different from Trump, just not supporting the Russia that strongly.

I’m not even sure you could get all democrats to vote to impeach. There will always be enablers like Schumer and Jeffries who say stuff like “now is not the time” and “It’ll never work anyway” or “It’s not worth the cost.”

Maximal political impact would be to convict him in court fair and square and when he refuses to show up to his sentencing, bring the firing squad to him.
