There’s an idea that we should categorize vehicles as human-poweres or not. Is this a good idea? How about paddle-assist-only ebikes?
When there’s not enough space for lanes, which type of vehicle get compromised?
As for the lights, in the Netherlands, when you get a green light, you go. It was surprising to me in other countries you awkwardly have to wait in the middle for oncoming traffic to pass first, who somehow get a green light at the same time.
And if you can’t squeeze in a road next to sidewalks and bike lines, maybe make it a one-way street instead?
I wonder if it’s the straight-or-right/left/stop pattern. I’ve only seen them on busy intersections, with the duration for left turn being ridiculously short.
