I had a job once that required considerable business travel. One time I had to show up somewhere on short notice, and hadn’t realized my staff had booked me at a large hotel holding a furry convention. It was all fine, they were gracious and funny, though I could have done without the couple in fursuits fucking in the corridor when I came in near midnight after a long workday. To their credit, they did give me a little wave and paused until I went past.
If it had been a convention of rightwingers, it would have been far, far worse. They tend to be mean drunks.
