This is something Democrats and the DNC need to understand: Republicans are willing to kill for their beliefs.
Until the DNC stops believing that Republicans will be “reasonable”, Democrats will fail our country. It’s only a matter of time until Trump has his version of the night of the long knives.
Just look at that AI post he made calling anyone opposed to AI traitors. His handlers are going to stop fucking around soon.

People today are too far gone from the reality of our situation to understand this. Democracy is only meant to prevent killing one another en masse, as a means to say who would probably win in a war. That’s the very basis of its design.
Think about it. Think of human history. And why is the cutoff exactly >50%? Strength means victory- if not a pyrrhic one.
If you aren’t even willing to vote for your beliefs, you certainly aren’t willing to pickup a rifle. The other side still will.
There’s an absolute metric ton of domestic and foreign born propaganda out there trying to convince US citizens to pick up a rifle instead of voting.

But it’s only as good as genuine strength makes it count. Does anyone really think angry letters are enough? Our species is not actually passive; although proper education and acceptance of one another’s opinions could maybe one day get us there. Perhaps.

Its hard to chart a path to get to a better result though. Clowns will say just voting will do it, but voting in a captured system will get you an outcome thats permitted by the rich, not one that will fundamentally change the game. Its like cows voting that they not be slaughtered. No one wants a revolution, but how do we get there without one? sit ins? voting in primaries? sternly worded letters? protests in protest zones? I dont have any answers either, but I feel like we have to think more creatively than just adopting what worked in the 60s or using revolution. We arent in the 60s anymore. Protests like those arent tolerated anymore, and the Dems are as bad as the repubs on repressing dissent.
The DNC failed this country a long time ago, in what feels like a galaxy far, far away.

I mean, the amount of cheering and celebrating at Charlie Kirks death pretty much shows that both sides are only leaving the other alive because jail is a powerful de-motivator.
But it’s only good enough to keep a person civil if they think they have something to lose. Make society bad enough and people start seeing violence not as a last resort but as a first option.

I lived in SE Idaho during the Obama years and I lost track of how many times adults openly talked about shooting or hanging the President. My daughters reported that children on the bus would also fantasize and openly talk about killing the President. This is not even surprising for me, which is sad.

I don’t advocate shooting conservatives because that is highly inefficient. Conservatives despise “woke” regulations protecting their water and air, so they have removed those regulations. We can now legally exterminate millions of them without ever breaking a single law. I do advocate for that. Our enemy will kill us all if we don’t stop them by force.

My parents say to me to look for immigration in US and seeing things like this makes me more scared.
I have a friend who immigrated to the US, and then moved to Canada and became a citizen there. He likes it much better, he never wants to come back to the US haha. Maybe you could get your parents to switch to Canada or somewhere else instead if they don’t want to give up on this? I live in the US and I personally cannot recommend immigrating here, especially right now.
Well, I don’t wanna leave my city, let alone my country. I cannot make that understand to my parents but I just love the place where I am born even though it is not much safe place and it is one of those third world countries in South Asia.

No, we do not agree. NONE of the democratic leaders calls for the execution of political opponents like Trump does. Both sides apply only to single nobody in the crowd, but I do not care about those to be honest. Those will always exists. Both sides is just a way to distract from the fact the sitting president is asking for the hanging of the senators of the opposition.
