Looks great. I wish Mario 64 got the same treatment in its recent rereleases. The game’s got good bones, but it has some rough edges with respect to controls that we could fix with a modern C stick, and I don’t think early 3D graphics have the same sentimental value that pixel art does.
I kinda disagree on early 3d graphics not having the same sentimental value, but for some reason its specifically the ps1 wobbly style 3D graphics for me that do it, maybe because it is so distinct, almost in the way pre-rendered 3d backgrounds from 90s era pc games are. For whatever reason the n64 just kinda looks like shit to me and the dreamcast looks like it belongs in the ps2/xbox era anyway.
