Will a US/EU Android add Welcome Suica Mobile for a Japan trip?

eSIM and FeliCa are different chips. A phone can install a Japan data eSIM (maps, translation) and still be unable to hold Welcome Suica Mobile. Most overseas Android phones lack FeliCa. You can still tap a physical card that is already loaded. Maps and IC top-up still need a data line.
