US/EU Android in Japan: eSIM can do maps. Wallet still cannot hold Suica.

eSIM and Wallet/Suica are different chips.

A US/EU Android can usually install a Japan eSIM (maps, translation). Welcome Suica Mobile is FeliCa. Most overseas Android phones do not have it. You can still tap a physical card that is already loaded. You cannot add Welcome Suica Mobile without FeliCa.
