LOL, this should be the guiding principle that people need to tell people, especially those prone to conservative mindsets, and tell them all their lives, starting in kindergarten.
Don’t like atheism? Don’t be one. Same goes for being Wiccan/Muslim/Catholic/Mormon/Jewish, etc. Don’t want an abortion? Don’t get one. Don’t like university? Okay, don’t go. Don’t like men having sex with each other? Okay, you probably were not invited anyway.
And so on…but reiterate that you don’t get to interfere with others’ choices. Do this from childhood.
I’ve never been to a drag show and it’s not really on my bucket list, either…but if others want to go, that’s their choice. These busybody Karens need to find something constructive to do with their time.
Well if they left the behavior of consenting adults or parental guardians to their own discretion what role would the state have to play?!?!?

Can we also get, “Oh hey, the schools and other public outlets aren’t turning untold millions of our children queer?”

Most of the conservatives really do want to roll back all of the Enlightenment, and probably keep the Internet and smart phones and other modern conveniences (for themselves, mostly).
The idea of getting at the truth really does offend them, I think. Just look at how they argue about things, how they now attack facts (“alternative facts”, for instance) and science and education.
How about “Just don’t get an abortion”? No?
That stance will only ever resonate with those of us who already agree with you. Dumbasses liken abortion to murder - which it’s not - so they basically hear you calling for murder to be legalized and to leave it to the individual to decide whether or not it’s okay to murder.
You will not change their minds on this, because they think it’s part of their religion. Which is also incorrect, at least if we’re talking about Christians (no idea on the others). IIRC abortion is mentioned in the bible twice: once is basically accidental, dude injures a pregnant woman in a way that causes her to miscarry… and the biblical punishment for such a heinous crime? He owed her a fine. The second mention is a fucking how-to guide; dude thinks his wife is pregnant because she cheated on him, so he’s instructed to make poison by collecting shit off the temple floor and forcing his wife to drink it. If she miscarries, then she cheated! Burn the witch! If she doesn’t miscarry, then the kid is his.
Pretty sure that’s it. There’s the christian take on abortion. 'Course, we all know the culture surrounding christianity doesn’t actually adhere to its own lore. If some preacher hears Fox say it’s a mortal sin, then I tell you h’what, that thar’s a gosh darn sin!
For argument sake, my thought would be redirect that shit and liken it instead to triage. “Sure, that clump is a human, why not, but so is mom, and when shit hits the fan, mom takes priority” but… I’d guess even that approach is a waste of breath. They won’t hear it.

I believe both those stories are from the “old” testament, which three of the Abrahamic religions include as part of their canon, so that would be Christians, Jews, and Muslims.
