The federal judge, who cited Dolly Parton in his ruling, found that the state law violated the First Amendment.
“Oh wait, they’re not actually forcing our kids to be drag queens?”
Can we also get, “Oh hey, the schools and other public outlets aren’t turning untold millions of our children queer?”
How about, “Teaching kids about evolution and slavery doesn’t make them hate white and religious people?” (Well okay, maybe they’d be a bit distrustful when they hear the truth)
Most of the conservatives really do want to roll back all of the Enlightenment, and probably keep the Internet and smart phones and other modern conveniences (for themselves, mostly).
The idea of getting at the truth really does offend them, I think. Just look at how they argue about things, how they now attack facts (“alternative facts”, for instance) and science and education.
