A year ago I would say US is cooked and there’s no way to turn this shit around but this is actually looking promising. Obviously they still have tons of obstacles ahead of them and most of them are way harder that this but they did more than I expected already. Keep fighting!

It’s actually wild to watch how quickly the mood has been shifting since 2024.

Now, everyone is talking about wealth disparity and all the issues that come with it. Progressive candidates are winning primaries left and right. Democrats are flipping seats at an unprecedented rate. Black voter turnout in the South has been surging since the gutting of the VRA.

In November of 2024 the Democratic party was in shambles. Now, thanks to progressive candidates and voters, they’re actually forming an identity that isn’t just “not Republican.” They’re running on issues that benefit the common people and they’re winning.

also the fact that schumer ended the subsidies, even though they were covid era ones, for people on ACA plans, it made the dinos a bad look.

Democratic party is still in shambles. There’s a faction inside of it that’s growing but they still have to win elections (which Trump will try to cancel or steal), win some power inside the party (which the leadership will do everything they can to prevent), win presidential primaries (with, again, entire establishment against them, this time at national level), win elections (against JD or Rubio which could actually be pretty easy) and push through reforms (like filibuster reform, pack Supreme Court and so on) fighting against both republicans and corporate dems. Once all this is done progressives will be able to actually start governing. Very hard but at least there’s a path now. A year ago there was nothing.

its the schumer’s/jefferies parties against the more “progressive ones” not against the gop, which they claim are fighting against but isnt actually doing anything to stop it, in fact is benefitting under trumps providing cover.

Everything up to the last step is doable by 2029.

The last step might come In the 2040’s.

Even the democrats are disparaging the wave of DSA candidates in their party for being too communist. Of course you should probably check their accounts for AIPAC money. Either way it’s still progress to see the apathy fade and push for things that benefit society as a whole instead of billionaires and warmongers
