I don’t believe in tvs in bedrooms.
We have a nice human sized one in the living room - but the theater has an 8k laser projector and the whole wall painted to be the silver screen. It is amazing.I almost don’t care about any of this other than the tv should fit the space and tvs don’t belong in the bedroom.
There’s an optimal size based off viewing distance. I aim for the biggest that’s reasonable for the space.

Go as big as you’re financially comfortable with and the feature set you want, unless you care about aesthetics or your SO says it’s too big.
You ever sit right in front of a huge TV? You can’t see everything at once. You have to move your head. There’s a good reason to get a TV size specific to your viewing distance
I mean I don’t sit right smack up against the screen… I sit ~7-8’ from a 85" TV and see everything just fine, in fact, plenty of peripheral vision left. I could even go bigger bc I have the wall space. Sure, movie screens are huge but you’re far away so perspectively it’s similar to a TV. However, the IMAX or Dolby Cinemas at AMC, or those UltraScreens theaters are popular for a reason… To saturate your field of vision and captivate you, making you fell engrossed and a part of the action.
Sure, maybe you don’t want a 115" TCL in your bedroom, but for the main entertaining space, I want big and encompassing to match a theater-but with more comfort and cheaper concessions lol. My 7.2.4 channel UHD “theater” downstairs won’t be complete for some time, so my 120" projector screen goes unused. A big TV is a good alternative.

big TV in living room, no TV elsewhere
Largest in the primary movie space. We have an 85" there, big couch, dark area, it’s where you go to watch something without distractions.
Living room, near kitchen is a 32 inch cheap one from best buy. We have on background TV, or if we are just hanging out will throw something on there. It also encourages that if you’re doing something more serious you move to the big TV room. Pop some popcorn, make it a thing vs just relaxing.
No TV in the bedroom. We have 2 already, don’t need one in there personally. We read, have small hobbies in the bedroom.
Well fuck, now I feel like a piece of shit for having a TV not only in my bedroom, but bathroom, closet, garage and backyard… there’s also tv’s on the backs of each headrest in my car, tv apps on my phone and TV in the shower. The names Mike Teavee.

Haven’t had a TV in like 2 decades. Do have a projector though. Screen size used to be like 4m diagonal, now due to space constraints down to a little under 3m. Always in the bedroom: comfortable and the only room with enough space, honestly.

My huge TV is in my bedroom because there wasn’t a wall big enough for it in the living room when we moved. Before we got it hung, we were using a projector that was actually bigger. My husband jokes about the neighbors watching TV with us through our bedroom window.

This is pretty much it. Communal areas have a TV where I’ve gotten the biggest TV with the best(-ish) quality I can get. If I gamed, same would be true for that display. Those get the heaviest use by the most people. Everywhere else I’ll probably get something passable that’s big enough for me to read subtitles on. But for most of those spaces I’ll use a tablet or Vision Pro.

I have one tv in my tv/gaming room and its 80" no tv in any other room.
We have a 65 in the living room and a 65 on wheels that moves between the patio and my husbands office. Theres a 43 in the room that doubles as guest room and workout space. We have an 85 in the bedroom.
Just one in the living room, currently 32 inch. Bigger would be ok as long as it’s affordable.
PC monitors are a different story, I have two 23 inch screens besides my laptop screen.
My living room has a 15 year old 48" LED TV and that’s the only one I own.
It’s not just about the size of the TV but size in relation to viewing distance. Too many people buy way too big TVs thinking bigger is always better and then it feels like sitting in the first row in the movies and you need to turn your head to read the subtitles.
Bedroom: 0. Watching tv before bed throws off circadian rhythm.
Kitchen: 0. Kitchen is for cooking, not tv.
Living room: 0. Why would you want a distraction when you have guests over?
Ah, you must be one of those board game types. See, I’m more of a 4 player Mario Kart or Mario Party type myself. Then there’s Smash Bros for up to 8 people at once.

Currently have a 70 inch in the living room only. tv anywhere else makes it super distracting for me

Pretty sure an old flatscreen TV I used to use as a monitor was around 1280:720 and wasn’t all that much bigger around the surrounding bits. So probably around that size. Just for my room, though.
For a kitchen, I would take an actually small flat screen ( around a foot, foot and a half length wise ) since that’s roughly what we had growing up after we got rid of the old small CRT we had up.
Living room, I’m so used to what I think is a flat screen around five and a half, six feet long that it would feel weird not having something that long. So, probably something around that size. Mainly because it’s a great size for when you have guests over and are trying to play games.
