I, for one, am actually glad when I see people promoting their businesses a little on here. Too often out in the world you’ll just find astroturfed, mass-manufactured things that come from the same 12 factory floors. We should enjoys sharing our work with our community for as long as they don’t.

I know Pine64 has a few more things that could fit this list, although with different degrees of applicable usability. The PinePhone, the e-ink android tablet, the PineBook, and I’m sure there are plenty of others that I’m forgetting about. I’ll keep an eye for stuff and try to get soke suggestions.

Thanks for this! Having a directory will be helpful, although often there just aren’t any good choices, especially outside of the EU/NA market. For those cases it’s more about how to hack/mod/reprogram them, which is where a list of stuff such as libreboot, grapheneos, gentoo, hardware mods and guides, and so on would be. This is great work, good job :)

I think we may be using different definitions of politics. I’d argue that even under birthright rule there was plenty of political action, just that it was a club most people weren’t empowered to have any say in.

I think I get what you mean, though, and you’d be right in saying that these things have been polarised to an almost sporting team-like level, where you’re expected to be on one diametrically opposed side or another. Really, it’s just a shame that’s all getting in the way of running things properly.

Crime and Healthcare are both political issues, irregardless to your, or anyone elses, allegiance or independance to or from any specific political group.

Everyone is different, and it’s going to be near-impossible to get a proper answer with so little to go off. I’d recommend experimenting more on your own before buying a solution if you aren’t aware of your own needs.
