Different countries handle it different ways. Growing up in the UK (Rivers, Reservoirs and being and island) and Qatar (surrounded by the Sea on 3/4 of its mass) swimming lessons were mandatory all the way to High School. I know of a school in Dagenham that continued swimming classes back in 1990’s, but saying that, a lot of governments tend to axe shit left and right so I’d be surprised if it’s still a thing. I still remember the detol smell of washing your feet before getting climbing into the pool in some schools.

Less lethal. They can still kill with them and maim like any other weapon.

Unfortunately it’s not the French. Best that can happen is a few placards with slogans and a state mandated pass to march on designated streets as they continue to slide in to apathy.

Netflix couldn’t even finish Altered Carbon respectfully. Got a season 2 and some poor anime to finish it off.

Can’t trust em with any series really.
