Well you have to wonder if at a support so high Wikimedia couldn’t skip the “fight and win” stage to earn some goodwill which might get them more favourable terms. In open confrontation, everyone loses. Takes energy away from everything else and generates a ton of bad publicity.

Unlike Bluesky, Lemmy does the whole Fediverse thing. So even if Lemmy gets popular and swarmed, it wouldn’t be as bad if it becomes shitty. It’d still be a win
Wow. I got the 4 at launch and honestly never had any problems except calls get fucked up more frequently recently. Didn’t know they stopped selling parts, what’s the point?
I don’t understand why there’s so many people who don’t want Lemmy to grow. I came here because I wanted a freeer more decentralised web for everyone, not just me.
