It’s a bit hard to justify a 3d printer for a single project, but if you think you’ll use it for other projects then that’s the way I would go. Biggest callout would be to make sure the printers you’re looking at have a large enough bed size to print the model you land on. The original one I was planning on printing couldn’t fit on my printer.

But but but what about those data centers they’re going to put into space? They wouldn’t just lie about stuff like that!
