There’s a lot of hopium in this chat.

It will be interesting if things happen or if the ratchet just clicks.

Well Hakeem Jeffries already said we shouldn’t try to punish the people breaking laws. Those people being politicians of course. Straight to jail if you’re a serf and have a specific plant growing in your yard though.

Lol, remember the Muller report stuff? People are always hoping someone else will fix shit for them, or that the system works like they want it to.

Its so god damn frustrating too because they think doing the same thing they did the last 10 elections is somehow going to fix things this time but it never does. Then they stand in the way of progressives because that status-quo liberal they have their eye on “is their best chance.” “Best chance” at what exactly, our continued decline into madness?

There’s a lot to be hopeful for.

This year was a very bad Senate map for Dems, 2028’s map is very good for dems. We’ve got a very real possibility of having all three branches of government with a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

Dems don’t want a filibuster proof majority they would figure out a way to make it just one vote shy. But they prefer to actually be one vote shy or we would be inclined that when they do nothing it is by their own choice.

And then when the primaries roll around, you’ll be telling people that “now is not the time to try and rock the boat because their potential opponent are evil and must be defeated.” It’s always the same excuses.

There was a lot of hopium going on weeks before the mid terms. All the “Don’t trust the polls” or “They’re going to rig the election” or “Watch all this be for nothing” as well, and look how well that turned out.
