After Democrats’ historic victory, why is this how Hakeem Jeffries is responding?
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries isn’t interested in seeking impeachment charges against President Donald Trump.
Speaking on MS NOW’s Morning Joe Wednesday, Jeffries laid out his priorities for his party’s newfound leadership in the House of Representatives.
“The American people don’t want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive,” Jeffries said.
“We have won the election, so we obviously don’t need to change or do anything and just keep everything as it is…”
that’s the thing, republicans need democrats to stay as they are. Republicans make everything worse, and democrats are the lesser evil people vote for to feel like they’re making a change but all democrats do is hold the fort and make a couple of minor tweaks here and there to show they care. 2 party systems are so easy to game.
Which is why organizing and getting armed will do far more good, even if in the end, it just ends up being used as a big stick while we speak softly. They don’t feel the need to do anything because they don’t fear us.
