I think it was an attempt to normalise the killing of political opponents. Such violence is already normal and legitimised in America, the land of school-shootings and capital punishment.

Yeah I’m with you on that. I don’t like the idea of the public becoming desensitized to shit like that.
It’s fine to disagree with it. But, that won’t change my mind that there are some people who, I believe, deserve it.
