In an interview with two Times reporters, President Trump blamed the G.O.P.’s losses on the fact that he was not on the ballot and said he was willing to work with Democrats.

President Trump said Tuesday night that he would accept the results of the midterm elections and was prepared to work with Democrats.

“I am absolutely willing to accept those results,” he said in an interview with The New York Times.

He added: “We’ll work with the Democrats, and we’ll, you know, look forward to working with them. We’ll probably work something out.”

Mr. Trump blamed Republican losses on the fact that he was not on the ballot and said he had no regrets about endorsing candidates such as Senator Darline Graham, Republican of South Carolina, and Ken Paxton, the Republican attorney general of Texas.

    Press x to doubt

I foresee a massive amount of presidential and administration fuckery to try and ensure this doesn’t happen come 2028. I do also hope Democrats do not try and “work together” now that they have the House and Senate. Hold the current administration to account for all the past fuckery! Republicans used their prior House and Senate advantage to ram through plenty of non-partisan legislation…

Doubt it. Seems like he’s just going to blame them for the economy crashing/ ai burst coming soon and he’s calm because he knows he has a manipulative plan in store for this already.

Yep, I’ve been assuming the AI bubble popping was somehow going to land in dem laps just like the 2008 financial crisis and even though the dems will likely handle it in a relatively responsible way, voters wont be able to understand responsible slow long term fixes dont “solve” the problem immediately. This is not to say that the 2008 bailout was the best course of action, but it did stabilize things. I would have like to have seen CEOs in jail and their firms footing the bill though.

Hopefully there will be some understanding now that “solve it on day one” isnt real and anyone who says that is full of shit.

The road to 2028 is going to be brutal. Even if there isn’t a crash we all know focks nooz and other propaganda stations are going to immediately start blaming everything on Dems. They try to pass legislation to fix things or make life less miserable for people and the orange pedo will block as much as he can and those “news” stations will just say they didn’t want to work with the prez and couldn’t pass anything.

Make him veto everything then. I have no problem with that. If they can point to good policy that passes both chambers but then got vetoed I’m fine with that. I’d rather they do that than cave on issues.

Budgets should be fun next year :|
