I’m not sure Michelle Obama would be an auto win. I’d like to think America is ready to elect a woman to the presidency, but I wouldn’t bet my savings on it.

I don’t know if it’s something she has or would consider, but think she’d be awesome. However I also suspect after 2 failed female Presidential nominations the Dems are not going to be down for another so quickly.

Honestly, I think I would bet mine, or at least half of it. There is no figure more more popular in the Democratic tent than her, and nobody who ever polled higher against Trump’s 10 years in the spotlight than her. While sexism is sadly a thing in this country, I think the Venn Diagram of legitimate sexists who’d refuse to vote for a woman solely on that is a circle with those core maga Trumpers who refuse to defect to this day and thus wouldn’t for any Democratic candidate, even old white male Biden.

Not exactly my preferred pick in terms of policy, and it doesn’t seem like she wants it but who knows. Her husband made similar comments in 2006.

Hmm. Yeah, when you put it that way I can see you’ve got a point. She’s in her early 60s so that’s on her side. And her husband is a known quantity - rightly or wrongly, people are going to assume she would be on a similar path in terms of perspectives and policies. Anyone who can get the Dem voters out. . . well, some people are better than others, but they’re all better than trump.
