There’s a separate thread for the Senate elections, because that’s far, far easier to track than the House races and the Gubernatorial races.
Consider this thread open to everything else! House, Governor, state and local measures, everything else!
Polls start closing at 7 PM Eastern, 4 PM Pacific. My plan is to be obsessively posting results as they come in.
Current standings:
US House of Representatives:
Republicans: 218
Democrats: 214
Vacant: 2
Independent: 1
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX23) resigned 04/14/2026.
Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL20) resigned 04/21/26.
Rep. Kevin Kiley (CA3) flipped from R to I in March, 2026.
Every seat is up for re-election with 218 necessary for a majority.
Update Current called races put the House at 253 D, 160 R, with 22 still undecided. As near as I can tell, Republicans only managed to flip a single Democratic seat, Texas 32.

IIRC it was a clean sweep. Secretary of State and AG as well.
AP hasn’t called Sec. State or House D2, but they are not looking good. I was expecting a R sweep, but I was really really wanting to get rid of Cotton.EDIT: Sorry, I lost the thread context. The above was about my state of Arkansas (where Rs are going to sweep).
Great! More blue in the South can only be good. I hope the Ds down here can focus on Working-class issues. If we could get a generation of blue-collar workers (incl. farmers and ranchers) that don’t automatically vote R “for economic reasons”, we might also see some movement on other attitudes.
