Just finished the fourth book in the Children of Time series by Adrian Tchaikovsky.

Was pretty good, but I think the series is definitely winding down. It didn’t quite grip me as much as the last one, and certainly not as much as the first, but it was still a good read so I’m not disappointed.

I did love the addition of the bushido-style warrior mantis shrimp, honestly the fourth book revolving around their warrior society coming to it’s own realization of how constant war can only take a society so far would have been a really good one on it’s own imo.
