It’s the same reason they dislike things like early voting, mail-in voting and so on. Any effort to make it easier to vote they oppose, because they want to find ways to hand elections to the racist party.
The conservatives absolutely lost their minds when Obama won two terms, but they went nuts again under Covid. For many reasons. But part of that was, yes, they initially thought it was going to affect black people more and that didn’t really pan out. Also I think a part of that had to do with mail-in voting that was put into place in some areas.
