Progressive Twitch streamer Hasan Piker filed a defamation lawsuit against conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings on Tuesday, accusing him of falsely claiming Piker advocated for lynching Blac…
He’s a leftist political streamer on twitch. He has been at it for many years now, and has recently been the target of many a smear campaign by conservative (and lots of liberal) media, especially after he campaigned with some leftist candidates throughout the United States in the recent primaries. Including Mamdani, and Abdul El-Sayed to name a couple. He comes off a bit like a dude bro, and has said provocative things. But personally I think he has lots of fantastic takes.
This quote is from a satirical comedy bit where he is playing a character imitating a specific archetype of a conservative at the time. The video even includes a disclaimer that it is satire, so if you saw a clip of him saying that and just believed it then it shows that you don’t even do the bare minimum of checking context.
Reminder that pedo_troll Ethan Klein sexualized a 17 year old boston bom bing victim, said he wanted to “fck that sweet juvenile vagna” while openly using the n word, and threatens to “f*ck her in the face” multiple times while his wife Hila Klein films the whole video
A social democratic Twitch streamer prominent for supporting social democratic or progressive liberal candidates in primaries against more establishment democrats.
Things can be known yet not known by every person. For example, it’s widely known that he’s not a dog abuser and it was fabricated defamation, but you seem to think he is.
It’s how I heard about him, at least. The dog shocking spawned a lot of memes that spilled out far and wide enough for people who don’t watch e-celebs to see.
Oh yeah, I’m notoriously so horny for men. Everyone knows me around here for being the most horny for men and only men. I just looooove himbos so much.
It’s certainly not because I’m relatively well versed in politics and follow these issues closely. No way.
Clearly you don’t understand politics you support. Morality is the same regardless of the side you pick, this guy is a dog abusing nepo baby, that get excuses made for his shitty behavior. That’s how you get Cosby.
Hasan can do wrong, he’s a reformist and in many ways a liberal, rather than a socialist. Him being attacked and slandered as a threat to establishment Democrats is not up for debate.
Everytime you attack someone like Hasan, you are making it harder for us, Mexicans, to raise awareness about the Iron River which is killing over 30,000+ of us every year. That’s why you hate Hasan, don’t you? You enjoy killing us.
That’s the type of people you are cocksucking. Literal nazis. That dude works with Destiny, a dude who is currently facing legal charges for sharing child pornography and revenge porn. He also worked with Ethan Klein, the most pro-Israel motherfucker ever imaginable, Asmongold, someone who openly wished all Palestine got eradicated, and Nick Fuentes, who is openly a Holocaust denier and a nazi who said Jeffrey Epstein was innocent.
Those are your people, dude. Nice. What a fucking loser.
Dark gods yes! He and Vaush have some (some) pretty good takes but damn, they are insufferable. And Hasan is a bit of a tankie on top of that. He has a pretty shit take on Ukraine.
While reacting to a video by Jubilee regarding rape culture, Vaush claimed that Rape Culture exists, that every woman he knows has been sexually assaulted and that reports of sexual assault are not being taken seriously. In the next ten seconds, Sydney Watson talks about her sexual assault story and that the perpetrator was non-white, of a certain religion, and did not get charged due to Cultural Differences. Ian then screamed, “Bullshit!” and accused her of using her trauma to perpetuate the “rapefugee” narrative. The clip was shared to Twitter by Sydney’s friend Brittany Pettibone, and it went viral. Sydney responded to him in Isaac Butterfield’s response video to him.[19][20]
Ian Kochinski is often accused of being a pedophile. The most common claim rose from a statement that he made about Child Pornography and Child Slavery, where he compared the exploitation of child slavery under capitalism in third-world countries to child pornography, to emphasize the double-standard in where we are easy to condemn child sexual exploitation but turn a blind eye to child labor exploitation, to illustrate how society is far more accepting of child exploitation which is economically beneficial.[12]
In a hypothetical explaining why rule utilitarianism condemns pedophilia, Vaush said: “it is possible for an adult and a child sexual relationship and for it to have positive outcomes on the child as well. That is possible, however (…)” [13]. Vaush has stated that, if economic inequalities are mended under communism, that it could be justifiable to lower the age of consent to 16, like in the UK. [14] In addition, Vaush has stated that he supports child sexual abuse material in that it is not immoral.[15] On 11 June 2023, Twitter user @Marxist777 make a thread, accusing Vaush being a pedophile. He made a response denying the allegations to this 2 days later.[16]
He was also caught with AI generated CP on his computer [17]
Discord discord messages from 2019 were found of Vaush talking about his desire to have sex with horses.[23] In February of 2024, Vaush accidentally opened his porn folder while on stream. He quickly closed it, but the screenshots were shared on X/Twitter and led to ridicule, due to the content of the porn, which included bestiality involving a horse, as well as 2 pieces of Lolicon pornography, which Vaush had previously denounced.[24]
It’s a shame that Vaush’s more combative style of speaking alienated so much of the left wing, because he does do really good political analysis and also advocates for such organizations like Progressive Victory.
I’m curious where you got that from him, considering he’s been rather consistent in denouncing that.
As for the “taxes” folder, he made an entire hour long video talking about his previous controversies, which you’ve mentioned in another comment here. I’d recommend giving it a watch, since most of them are timestamped, and I found it rather informative.
I’m not interested in what Vaush says here. What was shown on his own stream when it was revealed he kept loli and beastiality porn was enough for me.
This kind of argument that the age of consent should be lowered and that children aren’t always harmed when adults rape them is disgusting. Destiny, Vaush, all of them who believe this have no place on the left. Or shouldn’t have a place.
All he does is controversy bait. Alienating people on the left isn’t some unfortunate accident, it’s intentional. Controversy sells.
When you say something edgy, you get three types of viewers. The first type is neutral people who see an argument or controversy and want to be informed about it. The second type are people who see certain groups get “triggered,” and they hate those groups, so they like you because you make people they hate mad. The third group are the haters who hate-watch you, either to more accurately criticize you, or because anger is addictive. Clicks clicks clicks. You don’t get any of those clicks by just saying good reasonsable things that people can agree with.
I have heard all kinds of things about Vaush, but I have never once heard someone talk about any genuine insight that they got from watching him. Even people who like him only ever seem to make vague allusions or talk about how he offends the right people or how there’s actually justifications for what he does and says if you actually watch him, but typically the entire conversation is dominated by all the attention-grabbing bait he puts out rather than any actual insight or analysis.
Streamers and YouTubers do this shit constantly. Whether it’s Contrapoints randomly shitting on vegans or Bad Empanada saying trans people just want to feel oppressed or anything Vaush ever says, it’s all the same shit. It’s just drama, it’s just clickbait. And it displays, in each case, prioritization of building their own audiences over any notion of building a mass movement. It also indicates that their content doesn’t really stand on their own, that they have to use those approaches.
The only leftist streamers or YouTubers I’ve actually learned anything from are ones like Shaun (not very active anymore, though I see he just put out a video) who don’t engage in that shit.
He’s not a particularly well-known figure outside of streaming platforms, but I’ll quote a previous post I wrote to give an attempt at a rounded impression of him. It’s from another thread so there’s some parts of it that might look a bit less relevant to this one, but here it is:
"I think everyone who knows some about him will have an opinion on him - I’d call him divisive. I’ll try to give a relatively neutral rundown - I’m not a historian or researcher on this subject so my knowledge is likely to have holes.
I don’t have time to treat this like a dissertation or adding citations, but I’ll try to present things as neutrally as I can and then you (or anyone else reading) can decide to further research any of the points as you see fit. I am not the final authority on this, just someone who’s dug a little more into this than the average person, and who has no strong feelings for or against the person in question.
He is a political twitch streamer. He ties himself to, and uses the language of, the far left and related candidates. He backs and campaigns for progressive candidates which often raises awareness and donation for them, but the effect seems to be limited - some candidates he backs does well and others do not. He also seems to make plenty of statements that directly contradicts the candidates he backs and campaign for, causing some of them to try to distance themselves from him.
He appears to be well-versed in U.S. electoral politics, media framing, and progressive political arguments, which tracks with his bachelor’s degree in political science and communication studies from Rutgers from 2013. Being a streamer he ends up talking about a lot of related subjects, in which he often has to give off-the-cuff opinions and takes, which can often fall well-short of informed or accurate.
He says his end goal is communism. He got his start as a content creator in his uncle’s online news channel (The Young Turks), before later splitting off from them and doing his own streaming business. He is from a very affluent family, personally earns a lot of money and he clearly lives an affluent lifestyle. He claims to thrift for designer clothes but when pressed appears to reference outlet stores and similar. Initially he claimed that he doesn’t want his regular thrift stores to get raided by fans, although his fans might be less affluent than him and therefore better served by access to these stores. He has done several very successful charity streams that amassed large amounts of money for good causes. He claims to donate great amounts of money to charities, although the amount of donated money that can be tied to him is very low for his level of wealth, somewhere between 77.000 - 80.000 USD total (0,5-1%) of his estimated wealth, which is 8-14 million USD. While he does not appear to put his money where his mouth is, he does spend some of his time on popular fundraising, which drives a lot of attention to both him and the causes he fund-raise for.
He is often abrasive in his communication, although he will excuse that with passion for the subjects he talk about. He has a large audience that aggressively attacks dissenters or people Hassan expresses dislike for or disagreement with. The harassment from his fan base appears to be significantly above and beyond the norm for the space, and while he comments to the contrary it would be hard to believe that he is unaware of the dynamic between him and his fan base. From what I can tell he has taken no steps towards solving this dynamic beyond disavowing some instances of the harassment, while condoning other instances. He does not appear to have a problem with lying about people or broadcasting random people (even known malicious actors, that he himself states to be malicious) on twitter or twitch if it fits his narrative.
He often breaks the rules of his streaming platform (twitch) but receives special treatment, although I am unsure if that is due to personal popularity or personal relationships with the owner of twitch.
He denies using a shock collar on his dog, but looking at the evidence gathered through old videos, still frames from new videos, and from people who personally interacted with the dog would suggest that to be a lie. I do not know if he still uses a shock collar on his dog since the latest controversy.
As said, feel free to research each of these points, but do be critical of the sources of information and try to just find the actual evidence of what was done or said, rather than peoples’ conclusions. He is divisive so when people give their take they usually either dismiss all the criticism and focus on the things he does well, or dismiss the things he does well and focus on the criticism.
Find all the evidence you can and make up your own mind."
Now, as for this case it looks like Hasan Piker is substantially more correct than Scott Jennings. Snopes did a good write up of the evidence, so I’d recommend looking at that directly, if you care about the issue.
He denies using a shock collar on his dog, but looking at the evidence gathered through old videos, still frames from new videos, and from people who personally interacted with the dog would suggest that to be a lie. I do not know if he still uses a shock collar on his dog since the latest controversy.
Shock collars don’t even work on dogs like Kaya. Their fur is too thick around their neck. You’ve completely fallen for a smear campaign.
Stating that shock collars don’t work on that breed does not preclude Piker – fool that he is – from erroneously using one in a fit of rage. It’s a monumentally terrible argument. Try that fact on for size.
They don’t work because shock collars need to make skin contact and Kaya’s fur is incredibly thick around her neck because of the mix of breeds she is.
That you think Hasan is being propped up by the CCP is telling.
That is untrue.
If the shock collar has the wrong types of prongs or if it is poorly fitted, it might not reach the skin well enough to make constant contact meaning that at some presses it wouldn’t work very well, but you can get models that will make contact even with thick fur.
You can’t simply dismiss the point without willfully, or otherwise, ignoring how shock collars do and do not work.
This particular model might be an “extra poor” choice for Kaya given that Tibetan Mastiffs do tend to have doublecoated furs with a thick, whooly undercoat, but that is a common mistake people make when buying shock collars.
There is no way those prongs would hit Kaya’s skin. I know that because I have a family member with the exact same brand of collar. Those prongs are pretty short, and you wouldn’t even fucking bother. It is an excellent noisemaker for the dog. You can use it for long-range calling. It makes a loud beep and buzzes really well, and pretty much every dog is going to react to that.
Combine that with the “evidence” given, anyone that believes he shocked his dog is dumber than a box of nails. Wow, someone here said they looked at stillframes! Motherfuckers do the exact same thing as moon landing denialists and flat earthers do. It is insane to me that a fucking 15 second clip is groundbreaking evidence these fucking mouthbreathers give for a thing that even if it was true, would be relatively fucking minor to them, but goddamn do they fall for the same shit every time.
That’s quite the angry rant. I’ll try to filter out the personal attacks and focus on the substance.
You can claim that the collar would be a bad fit for Kaya and I’d agree, but the images taken from Hasan’s own streams make it hard to claim that it isn’t the Educator RX 090.
You could claim he might be better served with a vibration collar, which is what Hasan changed his story to, but this one is shock capable, and there would be no reason to buy a shock capable collar unless you intend to use the shock capability.
But my claim is that he used a shock collar on his dog, not that he used one that was a good fit for shocking his dog. That’s moving the goalpost, if not an outright straw man.
I don’t recall hearing a loud beep when it went off, but feel free to bring evidence to the contrary and I can use your standard of evidence to dig further.
You can go on a tirade about evidence but it doesn’t get much more concrete than stills or clips from Hasan Piker’s own streams.
And to clarify: I do not find animal abuse minor, and I certainly think shock collars are animal abuse. But that’s also trying to move the goalpost, once again.
Nah dude. That fucking collar is a vibration collar. It also has shock capabilities, dingdong. You can put in and remove the fucking prongs really easily. I have seen the exact same fucking collar. But if you don’t remove the prongs, you wouldn’t fucking touch the dogs skin with that collar because those prongs were made for smaller dogs, but the vibrations and noise would be fine because those don’t rely on skin contact. The fact that this doesn’t matter to you is evident. It didn’t make a noise in whatever clip you are talking about is because they didn’t use it.
Damn, I am on fucking fire answering these. What’s your next fucking curveball? “Oh yeah, if I’m a paste eater, how come I’m all out of paste?” Donate money to an animal shelter and tell people to stop going to pet breeders. You would do more for animals that way than whatever the fuck you think you’re doing here.
A collar with vibration and shock is a shock collar. A collar without shock but is a vibration collar.
The representative from the producer of the collar, that image and video evidence match, indicated that the prongs had been improperly removed and the opening taped over, instead of using a padded replacement cover for the underside, which they also sell.
Indicating a rush job to hide the shock prongs.
Hasan has also had a guest who commented on the collar being very tight (“can’t even fit one finger” was the quote), which would make sense for using a poorly fitted shock collar, which this one would be indeed.
So my claim is that Hasan used a poorly fitting shock collar. Maybe because he bought the wrong one or because he used one he already had, and he had to over tighten it to get it to somewhat work.
And that he used a shock collar on his dog.
Hasan also changed his story several times as well.
He started by claiming it wasn’t a shock collar, to them later claiming that it was a shock collar but that he had the prongs removed.
I believe he changed it further, but those are the most relevant I believe.
It’s the same conspiracy shit every time with the same shitty evidence. This isn’t even difficult to counter, it would only convince the twelve year olds that make up Destiny and H3h3’s audience.
indicated that the prongs had been improperly removed and the opening taped over, instead of using a padded replacement cover for the underside, which they also sell. Indicating a rush job to hide the shock prongs.
It does not indicate that. It does not disprove that, but it doesn’t fucking indicate that. You know what it indicates? That it was improperly removed. Okay.
Do you think he had fucking seconds to “hide” the evidence? Those things require very little time to remove. But he had to rush to hide the evidence that he himself provided??? Are you requiring a refill on that glue???
Hasan has also had a guest who commented on the collar being very tight (“can’t even fit one finger” was the quote), which would make sense for using a poorly fitted shock collar, which this one would be indeed.
Or. Or. Or…, that he used a collar that was intended for smaller dogs. The one thing you can point out is that the guest did say the collar was tight. That’s fucking it. And it’s weird that he was able to “hide the evidence” of the shock prongs, but he didn’t just hide the whole fucking collar or anything else. It’s the fucking fascist mindset, where he is simultaneously smart enough to hide the evidence, but dumb enough not to hide the same evidence.
Hasan also changed his story several times as well. He started by claiming it wasn’t a shock collar, to them later claiming that it was a shock collar but that he had the prongs removed. I believe he changed it further, but those are the most relevant I believe.
Damn, dude. So many fucking changes. How could you keep up, two is a really big number for you! If you don’t use it as a shock collar, I wouldn’t call it a shock collar. And he didn’t. It’s not a shock collar to me, even if it has shock capabilities, if it doesn’t have prongs. That’s pretty fucking logical to me, it only wouldn’t be if I dropped bricks on my head for fun. Is that not logical to you? Ask your mom if that makes sense, she hasn’t heard from you in a while.
Explain to me why he bothered to dispose of the evidence so poorly but also not at all with all the time he had. Because he had fucking months to dispose of the evidence (remember, that clip was a couple months old before it went viral for this fake conspiracy shit.)
Yep. Feel free to criticize the actual approach the person took or try to disprove it though.
I don’t really care where things come from, if the method is good.
There’s literal pictures take from Hasan’s own stream, and e-mail conversation with a company representive that recognizes the product. I chased down the image and found it to be verifiable. While I cannot very a private email I could verify the company and the product and match it to the image.
I don’t care where the evidence is, I care that it is verifiable in so far as it can be, and I could verify the majority of that blog post, which is more than you’ve been able to give me.
Again, no AI used in any of my work, but feel free to keep riding that ad hominem as far as it’ll take you.
I gave you a literal clip of Dan Saltman admitting that he saw how people reacted to Ethan Klein killing his dog with cheese and that’s how he came up with the idea of spreading the shock collar rumor.
I am not particularly well-versed in those guys, so I can’t speak to their findings, but at a cursory glance I don’t see a link between anything I’ve linked and them - I am happy to be corrected if there is something I’ve missed.
However, until you bring any kind of evidence, I will rely on Hitchen’s Razor here: “What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence”
Dan Saltman is a tech entrepreneur and political podcaster who leverages his platform to advance Zionist interests, targeting pro-Palestine voices and justifying Israel’s ongoing settler-colonial project in occupied Palestine.
As founder of TinyChat — a video chat platform acquired in 2014 after receiving $1.5 million in funding from Sean “Diddy” Combs, amid allegations of its use in predatory behavior — Saltman built his career in online communications. He now serves as CEO of Redact.dev, a service that deletes users’ digital footprints, which he promotes amid his own involvement in online activism. Saltman co-hosts the “Anything Else” podcast with Steven Bonnell II (Destiny), where he discusses politics and amplifies pro-Israel views to Western audiences.
Saltman has repeatedly portrayed pro-Palestine advocacy as support for terrorism, directly accusing streamer Hasan Piker of promoting “terrorist propaganda” and “Hamas recruitment videos.” In September 2025, he endorsed calls to ban Piker from Twitch, claiming Piker’s content encourages violence and supports terrorist organizations, while framing criticism of Israel as antisemitism. This rhetoric dehumanizes Palestinians by equating their resistance to Israel’s occupation with inherent threats, perpetuating consent for settler violence.
Saltman orchestrated a widespread disinformation campaign against Twitch, accusing the platform of fostering antisemitism by allowing pro-Palestine speech. He mobilized supporters to pressure advertisers, leading to temporary pauses in spending by companies like JPMorgan and AT&T in late 2024. This effort aimed to suppress voices critical of Israel’s actions in Gaza, where the confirmed death toll exceeds 40,000 — a conservative estimate, as Israel’s destruction of infrastructure and targeting of journalists has halted accurate counting, with the actual number slaughtered well into the hundreds of thousands. Saltman’s actions align with broader Zionist efforts to weaponize antisemitism accusations against dissent, shielding Israel from scrutiny over its apartheid policies and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and Gaza.
His associations extend to content creators like Ethan and Hila Klein of the H3 Podcast and Destiny’s community, with whom he has collaborated on attacks against Piker, viewing him as a threat due to his effective advocacy for Palestinian liberation. Saltman’s push to repeal Section 230 appears motivated by a desire to further censor online criticism of Israel. Twitch banned him indefinitely in November 2024 for “extreme harassment,” including doxxing and targeting employees who refused to comply with his demands.
This pattern of behavior is not isolated but part of a consistent effort to normalize Israel’s settler-colonialism, obscure Palestinian suffering under occupation and genocide, and manufacture public consent for ongoing violence.
Why did you give the link and then copy the whole contents as well? That seems very redundant.
I don’t see how Dan Altman is relevant to any evidence I’ve brought fourth - I didn’t use him as a base for any of my evidence, nor reference them in any claims. Can you tell me how he’s relevant to the subject at hand? (Hasan Piker)
Edit: “Dan” instead “Sam”, partial typo and partial "slip of the tongue"due to the similarity of their names.
Firstly:
I don’t really see how Hasan Piker having history with other streamers is relevant to anything I am writing about?
Can you clarify what you’re getting at, and how Hasan Piker having history with other online personalities invalidates anything I have written, all of which ostensibly does not seem to have anything to do with that?
And secondly:
Can you tell me how I am arguing in “bad faith” (i.e. NOT arguing from a genuine examination of the issue), when I tend to give evidence for my case, clearly referencing actual research done, rather than just repeating something I’ve been told (without evidence)?
Quick clarification: that last part is not an accusation that you are just repeating something you’ve been told - I have no proof of that and I am still hoping that you show anything you have to actually back up your beliefs.
I really don’t mean to be offensive or mean, but I think if have the option to take a moment to re-read some of the messages and look up the definition of “bad faith” arguments you are likely to see that either;
A: I have in fact been arguing in good faith, and/or
B: You might not have been entirely aware what it means to argue in “Bad Faith”.
For the first link:
I don’t see the relevance.
It talks about starting a rumor, but I do not reference any rumoring in my posts.
I reference try my best to reference things with factual evidence backing it up.
Can you help clarify how it is relevant? - I already know Hasan Piker is divisive he’s seen as a boogeyman to some and a savior to others, and this just seems to reinforce that, but nothing else.
For the second link:
What part was the relevant one? - The part where they briefly talk about the shock collar issue, but doesn’t actually address any evidence for or against?
I’ll be honest, I don’t really see the relevance for the rest. It just seems to be a negatively slanted video about Destiny and Sam Altman, which isn’t really relevant to what Hasan has or has not actually done.
On an interesting but separate note, I find the editing of this video interestingly similar to the CNN video that cause Hasan Piker to sue Scott Jennings - I truly feels like the editing of some of the video-clips they use are pushing a very clear narrative, but one that doesn’t seem to be supported by the clips they use, or at least wouldn’t be if the full clip was shown.
That said, I am not familiar with the original clips or particularly familiar with the people in question, so I can’t speak to anything other than the video-making style used for the video, which is something I am familiar with, as I have worked with storytelling in editing via my profession.

I’m not really going to speak to vanity or narcissism - I’m not sure I know where to begin validating that, or what my standard of evidence would have to be for that, especially for someone like Hasan who spends so much of his time in front of a live audience.
The shock collar however does seem very well-documented, or at least as well-documented as it gets without Piker himself coming out and fully admitting to it.
I don’t know why that one is so hard to accept for someone who is a fan of him.
I don’t understand why we should only
acknowledge the good people do, and not the wrong.
I think because unfortunately this extends beyond fandom and more into the realm of (a) zealotry, (b) fan-craze / simping / lusting, and/or ( c) Astroturfing bot networks intended to amplify support and suppress dissent. People like Piker are useful to certain groups to advance their own agenda. No different than the likes of Charlie Kirk or Tucker Carlosn or Asmongold, just for different people.
If you’re in one of these groups, then ceding any ground whatsoever is a non-starter.
Perhaps there’s an intersection between several of those elements.
There certainly seems to be some level of ideological capture going on, and, I’d argue, some cult of personality elements to it as well.
I’ll admit, I’m not as versed in the political aspects of it all. I’m not entirely sure who supports which groups and what exactly each of their stated or unstated goals are, but it seems clear to me that there’s some level of intentional narrative being spun and manipulated, even if I don’t know by who or for what. It’s just too aggressively managed and curated to not be entirely intentional.
Maybe I’ll have to look more into it at some point.
Charlie Kirk and Tucker Carlson both so seem to have/had people they are/were beholden to, but I’m also certain they mostly do what they do to further their own wealth and influence.
Asmongold I’m only peripherally knowledgeable of, but he just seems like he’s bottoms-upped whatever isolationist and xenophobic koolaid he found.
I know he was a game streamer originally but it seems like he’s well into far-right political ideology now, is that right?

What are you even doing in threads like these then?
You’re here only to spread baseless misinformation about Hasan? Interesting.
No worries. Happy to help.
If you’re still interested I encourage you to do your own research and not take my word for it.
Just be aware that he is both is both a republican boogeyman, and simultaneously, has a bit of a cult of personality built up around him on the other end of the spectrum, so nuanced takes are hard to come by.
As someone who found out about him about a year ago… Yea he’s said dumb stuff, but who hasn’t?
From the rest I’ve seen he’s constantly pushing leftist candidates and ideas and he seems to be in a space that’s dominated by right wing Nazi dipshits, so having him in there is a good thing.
The whole nepo baby comment I don’t know and don’t give a shit if true, the entire right is funded and bankrolled by Russians and fascists so I’m not going to nit pick.
On the matter of nepotism, his uncle is Cenk Uygur who is the co-creator of The Young Turks (a progressive news show). Hasan acknowledges that he benefited from nepotism to launch his career as a political commentator since he got his start working for The Young Turks with his uncle. It’s not like he hides it or presents himself as “self-made” or any other bullshit like that, so I don’t really have a problem with it either.
I do see a problem with dumb people following rich people, which is why I’m a socialist. I don’t see Hasan as a leader, I see him as a comrade. Socialism is not a poverty cult, the rich can be class traitors too and it matters where their money came from and if they’re honest about it. Hasan also puts his money where his mouth is, donating to campaigns, mobilizing his audience to campaign, funding and fundraising for causes like the PCRF, and delivering aid to and platforming Cubans suffering under US sanctions. Anyone who consistently delivers materially to the working class deserves the benefit of the doubt.
First off, he never helped Cubans. He showed up to clout chase and go on vacation. Secondly, he only donates large amount to arabic causes, probably a racist. He begs for money for causes while wearing D & G, directly propagating the system he claims to want to change. Again he claims this and that but acts like a PoS everytime I seen him. He is a demagogue and I hate how no one sees it.
During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Piker, in partnership with CARE International, raised over $200,000 for Ukrainian humanitarian aid while playing Elden Ring, with an average of over 70,000 people watching his coverage of the conflict.[64][65][66]
In the aftermath of the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake, Piker organized a fundraiser that was also contributed to and promoted by other streamers and content creators, including Jacksepticeye, Valkyrae, Ludwig Ahgren, and IShowSpeed. As of February 10, the fundraiser had raised over $1,200,000 for charities such as CARE International’s Turkish and Syrian branches, as well as two Turkish NGOs: the AKUT Search and Rescue Association and Ahbap, which was founded by Turkish musician Haluk Levent.[67][68][69]
During the Gaza war, Piker’s charity drive on his channel had raised over $1,000,000 as of October 21, 2023, for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, American Near East Refugee Aid, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and the Palestine Red Crescent Society.[70][71]
During a March 2026 livestream, Piker helped raise more than $56,000 for congressional candidate Oliver Larkin.[79] Wired called this an example of content creators using their online influence for direct fundraising.[79]
Because sycophants don’t like facts let me point out you lies one by one. Islamic armies have invaded and almost took over multiple times in history, that’s a fact.
Turkey and syria are his people he cares about, that isn’t altruistic that’s enriching your own community.
In Cuba he did 0 donations in fact he is such a fake he is rubbing his wealth in cuban faces and partying. Those who raised that money had nothing to do with hasan.
I’ve said dumb shit but Hasan is genuinely a egomaniacal pathological liar and frequently calls for violence both explicitly and in coded language. He is also ridiculously, like insanely slanderous to anyone who looks at him wrong. He fosters a community of people that other creators are terrified of so they walk on eggshells around him.
You’re an H3H3 fan, you don’t get to talk about fostering communities of people that other creators are terrified of so they walk on eggshells around him.
Ok now I know you are either a troll or shill. Everything you said is just wrong and lies and you won’t be able to back any of it up becuase there is hours of video of him proving the exact opposite.
The only time I’ve seen him say vile things is when he’s making fun of Conservatives and ironically saying the vile shit they actually believe.
IE this entire fucking post and the reason for the lawsuit!!
How does any of that justify Scott Jennings going on national television and slandering the man?
Go ahead and get those talking points from Fox. I’ll wait. Let’s hear your psycho argument about why this man deserved to be slandered by Mitch MicConnell’s right-hand hatchet man.
Psycho argument? That projection… I’m just pointing out the valid reasons I don’t like him, and I never did. Yall support nepo baby’s that are abusers go ahead, I just have a better grasp on morality then hasan piker.
The topic is “Scott Jennings made up a story about Hasan, fabricated evidence, and then presented that false evidence and is now being sued for slander”
It doesn’t matter how you feel about the victim. It doesn’t matter what other things the victim did. All of that is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that Scott Jennings made up a story, fabricated evidence, and presented it on tv as fact. Scott should lose his job and this lawsuit, and he can never be allowed to work in journalism again.
Excuse my ignorance, but who is Hasan piker?
He’s a leftist political streamer on twitch. He has been at it for many years now, and has recently been the target of many a smear campaign by conservative (and lots of liberal) media, especially after he campaigned with some leftist candidates throughout the United States in the recent primaries. Including Mamdani, and Abdul El-Sayed to name a couple. He comes off a bit like a dude bro, and has said provocative things. But personally I think he has lots of fantastic takes.
Best answer. For everyone else, we get it, he lost the purity contest.
“Leftist” has garnered my attention :P I was wondering how he surpassed the trans community on fox news
“Old enough to count, old enough to mount” - parasocial idol for people who were dropped on their head from a second story window as babies
And then he cheated on his wife with a much younger intern.
America deserved Klein/11
I fucking love stumbling across other snarkers in the wild hahahaha
He also abuses his dog with a shock collar…
You must be Scott Jennings.
Oh that guy?? Oh hell no…
Dont be gullible.
A “no” would’ve sufficed
A social democratic Twitch streamer prominent for supporting social democratic or progressive liberal candidates in primaries against more establishment democrats.

Best known for shocking his dog on a livestream.
Dan Saltman recently revealed that he was the originator of that lie and he did it specifically to smear Hasan.
Here’s Dan explaining how he got the idea from Ethan Klein feeding so much cheese to his dog that he killed it.
More clips of Destiny and Dan Saltman coming up with the rumor
Thanks for the links!
No problem! Some of these sloptubers are a little cringe in their intros, but the clips and fact finding is pretty legit.
Nah, he has his problems as a reformist but the endless drama and defamation surrounding him is already known.
The root comment didn’t even know who Hasan was tf you mean “already known”.
Dude is a dog abuser, and it’s relevant.
Things can be known yet not known by every person. For example, it’s widely known that he’s not a dog abuser and it was fabricated defamation, but you seem to think he is.
No, he is not.
It’s how I heard about him, at least. The dog shocking spawned a lot of memes that spilled out far and wide enough for people who don’t watch e-celebs to see.
Oh so you’re regurgitating unverified rumors to convince people to distrust this guy? Cool, cool.
Kinda funny we’re talking about this on a post about Hasan suing Scott Jennings for defamation.

Is this the only conceivable reason to defend somebody you can think of?
Sex is transactional - the post above you, probably
Oh yeah, I’m notoriously so horny for men. Everyone knows me around here for being the most horny for men and only men. I just looooove himbos so much.
It’s certainly not because I’m relatively well versed in politics and follow these issues closely. No way.
This gave me a good laugh.
I don’t even post on lemmy much and have seen how horny you are for men/s
whispers I thought you and Daphne were lesbians T.T now I find out you’re into Freddy? I need a minute
Clearly you don’t understand politics you support. Morality is the same regardless of the side you pick, this guy is a dog abusing nepo baby, that get excuses made for his shitty behavior. That’s how you get Cosby.
yawn. I used to watch him religiously but him not owning up to shocking his dog put a bad taste in my mouth. Haven’t watched him since.
Yep, it was deliberate as a smear campaign.
It’s not a smear campaign when it’s just an actual thing that happened.
Hasan hivemind is alive and well I see
Except it isn’t something that happened, though. Hasan has done plenty of things to critique.

Evidence has already been linked to you, though it’s a real possibility that you’ve blocked me so as to maintain your echo chamber.
Hasan can do wrong, he’s a reformist and in many ways a liberal, rather than a socialist. Him being attacked and slandered as a threat to establishment Democrats is not up for debate.

Why is he MAGA for pointing an obvious thing that happened?
He isn’t defending trump.
Is criticism only reserved for people you don’t like?
When am I getting grifted? I was there when Kaya whimped, there was no shock collar nor control, you are the one lying to me right now.
Why? And if it is not Hasan, who should I listen to?
What a classic move: ignore my question and move the goal posts even further.
Never even told you not to listen to him.
Everytime you attack someone like Hasan, you are making it harder for us, Mexicans, to raise awareness about the Iron River which is killing over 30,000+ of us every year. That’s why you hate Hasan, don’t you? You enjoy killing us.
Here is Dan Saltman admitting he started the Kaya shock hoax: https://www.reddit.com/r/LeftoversH3/comments/1oz0145/dan_saltman_says_he_got_the_idea_to_falsely/
Dude, I am an antifascist. These are not my people. I am left while also not liking hasan. That’s all.

He’s one of those “People you agree with but say it in such an insufferable way you want to disagree” type of people.
Says politically good things, is very hot, but is also a smug douche.
Dark gods yes! He and Vaush have some (some) pretty good takes but damn, they are insufferable. And Hasan is a bit of a tankie on top of that. He has a pretty shit take on Ukraine.
The guy who is self-admittedly into bestiality and loli porn? That guy?
Gross.
Urgh, that’s disgusting. Thanks for telling me.
No problem. It can be hard to keep up with how these guys are shitbags. Figured I can use my chronically online status to spread some truth.
It’s a shame that Vaush’s more combative style of speaking alienated so much of the left wing, because he does do really good political analysis and also advocates for such organizations like Progressive Victory.
He also advocates for child rape.
For those familiar with Hasan but not Vaush: yes, really, not in the “Hasan advocates for 9/11” sense. This one is real.
I’m curious where you got that from him, considering he’s been rather consistent in denouncing that.
As for the “taxes” folder, he made an entire hour long video talking about his previous controversies, which you’ve mentioned in another comment here. I’d recommend giving it a watch, since most of them are timestamped, and I found it rather informative.
https://youtu.be/yXZw9vrsAgA
I’m not interested in what Vaush says here. What was shown on his own stream when it was revealed he kept loli and beastiality porn was enough for me.
This kind of argument that the age of consent should be lowered and that children aren’t always harmed when adults rape them is disgusting. Destiny, Vaush, all of them who believe this have no place on the left. Or shouldn’t have a place.
Why do you defend these types of views?

Shock collars don’t even work on dogs like Kaya. Their fur is too thick around their neck. You’ve completely fallen for a smear campaign.
Then somebody probably should’ve told Piker that.
Oh you again hahahahaha
Come join the party. You’re gonna get wiped with facts.
I’m not the one spouting fallacies.
Tell me, what breed is Kaya?
And what source are you citing that they do not work 100% of the time?
She’s a mix of Tibetan Mastiff, Chow Chow, and St Bernard. It sounds like you’ve never even seen a picture of Kaya if you’re asking me this.
E-collar: Around the dog’s neck, with the contact points making direct skin contact through the coat. Fit matters enormously — snug enough that the points stay in contact, loose enough to slide a finger underneath.
Shock collars have two prongs that must be in constant contact with your dog’s skin.
A static collar with contact points (also called “probes”) transmits the electric stimulation to the dog’s skin in response to cues administered by the owner via a handheld controller
Now, based on the video where Hasan Piker gave us the best look at the shock collar, the best match would be the Educator RX-090, as confirmed by their own support team. Feel free to check this link, scrolling down to the section named “What the manufacturer’s support says”. The whole article gives a decent rundown of the evidence as well, but it’s a longer read.
This particular model might be an “extra poor” choice for Kaya given that Tibetan Mastiffs do tend to have doublecoated furs with a thick, whooly undercoat, but that is a common mistake people make when buying shock collars.
You people are so fucking dumb.
All of this is directly from Destiny and his DGG orbiters. Word for word.
It’s the same conspiracy shit every time with the same shitty evidence. This isn’t even difficult to counter, it would only convince the twelve year olds that make up Destiny and H3h3’s audience.
Or.
AHHHH I’M DEAD - You linked to a Medium article as proof?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Yep. Feel free to criticize the actual approach the person took or try to disprove it though. I don’t really care where things come from, if the method is good.
Also all this time spent replying to me when you could have been sourcing your claims.
You’re not a serious person.
So you claim.
Bring real sources and maybe we can talk.
That’s a fucking blog with no sources either. It’s an opinion piece with no meat, no substance, nothing.
Medium is not considered a good source in any space with serious adults talking about real issues.
This “article” is as useless as your AI block of text about Hasan with 0 sources.
Straight from the horse’s mouth.
Dan Saltman and Destiny made this up. Stop working for right wing grifters.
Stop working for these people.
That’s how you source information.
What the fuck are you talking about? No one said shit about Sam Altman here.
This is also how I know you’re arguing in bad faith. Destiny, Dan Saltman, and Hasan have extensive history together.
Firstly: I don’t really see how Hasan Piker having history with other streamers is relevant to anything I am writing about?
Can you clarify what you’re getting at, and how Hasan Piker having history with other online personalities invalidates anything I have written, all of which ostensibly does not seem to have anything to do with that?
And secondly: Can you tell me how I am arguing in “bad faith” (i.e.
I really don’t mean to be offensive or mean, but I think if have the option to take a moment to re-read some of the messages and look up the definition of “bad faith” arguments you are likely to see that either; A: I have in fact been arguing in good faith, and/or B: You might not have been entirely aware what it means to argue in “Bad Faith”.
You didn’t even take a single glance if you couldn’t see a single link between them.
I’ve already linked you to several sources now. I suggest you read them.

Thank you for the links.
For the first link: I don’t see the relevance.
For the second link: What part was the relevant one?

Never once cared, heard, anything Dan Saltman said. I saw it with my own eyes. I saw Piker change his story on this as well. Not exactly a good sign.
I highly encourage you to stop perceiving the world through the lens of a twitch chat and simping for streamers.
If you care about politics, you should care about Dan Saltman.
https://reversecanarymission.org/person/dan-saltman
Sorry not reading this. Again, it is entirely irrelevant what Dan says because that was never a factor in my observation of Piker’s cruelty.
I don’t understand why we should only acknowledge the good people do, and not the wrong.
Very in-depth – thank you!
No worries. Happy to help. If you’re still interested I encourage you to do your own research and not take my word for it. Just be aware that he is both is both a republican boogeyman, and simultaneously, has a bit of a cult of personality built up around him on the other end of the spectrum, so nuanced takes are hard to come by.
A nepo baby cos playing as a progressive on TV to enrich himself. That’s his contribution to the world. And dumb people are attracted to him.
You don’t see the problem with dumb people following a rich person? Do you hear yourself right now?
Source
He played video games and didn’t put any of his own money up. He used this as clout.
Ofc he cares about the people that look and talk like him. That isn’t being altruistic, that’s enriching your own community. IE zionism
Is oliver Larkin the only politician? Idk why endorsement of one politician makes you a good guy, Alex jones loved Ron Paul.
Wow this is a weird comment, I wonder what other gems this user could have.
Wow. In any case besides the other user’s source, here’s more:
Turkey & Syria: https://www.imdb.com/news/ni63953887
Cuba: https://novaramedia.com/2026/03/16/aid-convoy-to-deliver-more-than-20-tonnes-of-food-and-medicine-to-cuba/
Ukraine: https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2022/03/10/twitch-streamers-russia-ukraine-hasan-cnn/
What a gem of a comment you dug up there. Real class act, this guy lol
So your solution is to support people that are rich? Do you know what a demagogue is? Well Stalin was one and I put money on it this guy is one also.
You must be watching the wrong Hasan Piker, maybe you are watching the right wing version of Hasan Piker? Pasan Hiker perhaps.
I envy you more than you could possibly imagine. Do yourself a favor and just don’t find out.
