I remember watching a talk from someone that pen-tested ATMs in the wild. Granted, a few years ago, but it sounded like a lot of the kiosks were running Windows XP.

Banks are notoriously cheap and I doubt that it’s changed.

Even if MS were to fail somehow, Windows is going to take decades to disappear from the landscape.
