There’s no point in non-nazis using dog whistles when the right has made a cottage industry of convincing themselves that every innocuous phrase like “happy holidays” is a left-wing dog whistle anyway.
I started using “Happy Holidays” with more intent after all the fuss. I find it helps fragile shitheads give me some distance, while no one else blinks an eye.
I also like to wish people a “happy birthday harmless baby Jesus who is too young to threaten the rich”.
People’s reactions to that one can be enlightening.
