The Cook Political Report shifted the Ohio governor’s race in Democrat Amy Acton’s favor Friday, noting the fallout from a controversial attack ad from her Republican opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy.

The Ramaswamy campaign ad featured Acton’s estranged mother Donna Arthur lambasting her daughter as a “liar” and urging viewers not to vote for her.

Acton has publicly spoken about her troubled childhood for years, well before she ran for office, including the reason her mother lost custody: documented neglect and abuse, most horrifically, Acton’s stepfather sexually abusing her from the ages of 9 to 12. Arthur sided with her husband against her daughter; he fled the state after being indicted and remained a fugitive until his death. Arthur stayed married to him and Acton has not spoken to her since she was 12.

So many of them are the worst kind of sociopaths. Ramaswamy, Trump, Vance, all of them lack the capability of understanding that other people have emotions. They don’t care if a child gets hurt, because it’s not them. They don’t care that this woman abused and abandoned her children, they put her on TV because she supports them.

Can someone remind me again why billionaires are so smart and that’s obviously how they made all their money and why they deserve to keep it? This guy makes decisions like he’s trying to finish the Choose Your Own Adventure book as quickly and gruesomely as possible.

Billionaire status is luck, megalomania, and being a sociopath. Being smart isn’t that important.

It’s called propaganda, and those with money can afford it. There has always been forces that serve to launder money and power throughout history. It’s just gotten so much easier in the last couple decades…

Two things you’ll never hear from people with personality disorders like Ramaswamy or Trump is “that thing I did was wrong” or “I’m sorry.” They have to protect their egos at all costs, ego injury is intolerable for them.

I’m under the impression that Acton had always been ahead in polls, which was why Ramaswamy’s campaign stooped to this desperate measure.

Great work, Vivek! You’re as dumb as you are douchy. May you have a bedbug infestation for the rest of your hopefully short life.

They’d also have to throw Vance under the bus, because he came out strongly in support of that ad, even after everyone knew the details.
