Doom Gong!!! A friend introduced me to them and they had a lot of different sounds and ideas, all executed by some very talented musicians. I got hooked on their self-titled album and tracked them to see if they were playing any shows nearby. Luckily i caught them in Philly and they absolutely blew me away! I keep checking to see when i might get another chance, but they’re on a European tour for the summer…
I haven’t had a band excite me so thoroughly in years. Just amazing stuff ❤️ highly recommend all their albums, and if you want a taste of their live experience, check out “Live at the Whirling Tiger” – that’s a pretty damn good approximation of what i had the pleasure of witnessing. Can’t say enough good things about those peeps.
