I remember about 10 years ago when I worked for Sam’s Club/Walmart, and we had a very old retiree required to bring in a doctor’s note saying he needed a chair when checking people at the doors.
Doctors have better things to do than writing notes for asanine things like the cold that requires you to be more than 3 days sick. its pretty ridiculous.
If I was a doctor in the US and be tempted to set up aside business where I wrote doctors notes for whatever ailment the request claim to have.

INSERT NAME HERE has chronic INSERT AILMENT resulting in his/her (delete whichever is inappropriate) inability to perform tasks such as ANYTHING AT ALL and BONUS THING YOU ALSO DON’T WANT TO DO. Provided reasonable adjustments are made INSERT NAME HERE will be able to perform their duties without issue.

Yep, exactly. Which is always why I take the side of the patient in these things.
You won’t let my patient call in a day over a cold? Ok, well it’s a 10 day illness, how does a week off sound? You don’t want that much off? Ok, when’s your next scheduled day off: here’s a long weekend.
My dude with chronic pain needs to be able to switch from sitting to standing as needed, can’t lift more than 10 lbs, needs to take unscheduled breaks as needed, can call out up to 3x/week, and can’t work more than 8 hours a day. Maybe you should have just gotten them the chair?
People tend to underestimate what their actual limitations should be with their medical conditions, so I’m usually putting more restrictions than they actually ask for.
