For me it’s time signatures in music. I grew up playing instruments, played in several orchestras, etc. But no matter how many times someone tries to explain time signatures to me, it makes no sense. I don’t understand why people place such importance on it. To me, notes have a pitch and a duration, maybe some dynamics. That’s it. I don’t understand why people try to needlessly complicate it. It doesn’t give you anything.
My wife will hear a song and go “Oh neat, it’s in 5/8.” And I’m like “How tf do you know that, and why does it matter?”

Dream. Or picture anything from memory.
I have an idea in my mind, but it’s not a picture or video like most people have. It’s just very difficult to “see” something.
For most of my life I slept like a log for eight hours straight and basically never had dreams. Then recently-ish I botched my day routine beyond repair and discovered that I do dream when in light sleep, namely when falling asleep again after having woken up. Combined with drinking too much alcohol sometimes, this gives me shittiest completely absurd dreams of no value, just confusion and a very unpleasant feeling. Even when a dream is nice, I then wake up remembering I have my daily grind to look forward to. I’ll much rather go back to no dreams.

Interesting that a few of the notable known people with it identified are authors. I’m not super familiar with them, but I wonder if it leads to writing more detailed descriptions which can help their written works be more memorable.
