Most communities are not the sole community related to their topic, there are really often other communities on the same, or similar topics.

An example: there are a tonne of art related comunities, but only a small handful of them have links to other related communities.

It would be great if there was more of a culture of propping up semi-related communities. This would be particularly useful for helping more niche communities get rolling.

    Idk. You also gotta know that people are going to come and join in before you know it’s worth the effort

      why? Theoretically people should have an innate interest enough to make a bit of effort worth it. I think a lot of people want something to be a thing but aren’t really into it enough to be making a community about it. Which is fine if they don’t make one but if they are going to half ass one into being it would be better for them not to.
