Though in the Netherlands you are probably talking about a personal pizza, whereas if they are in the US, they are probably talking about a larger pizza that would feed at least two people.
I was in NY and my friend is a real pizza nut and wanted me to try this super trendy pizza, Ceres. We went mid afternoon and avoided the 4 hour line. A 20" pie was $68 before tax.
Glad in back home where I can cry into my $5 Digorno when I need a night off.
Pizza. Pizza used to be about $20 delivered. This past weekend we had a large meatlovers delivered…it was $48 before tip.
As a Dutchie, 20$ for pizza already sounds very expensive to me, 48$ is a crime xD over here it costs about 10-15€ which is almost the same in $
Went out the other weekend. Two drinks was $55.
US Pizza is 3 times as thick as a normal pizza and 3000 calories.
it is a pizza, you get what you expect from it.
In Norway, a plain cheese pizza is regularly between $16-20. that’s for kebab pizza, too so it’s not much better than frozen, imo

Large pizza feeds my family of 4 in the US. 2 slices each is sufficient to make you feel full.
Used to be $8 when I was a kid. Now it’s around $20 for pickup for a plain pie.
