Always wild concept to me. People bringing their $1000 electronics into an environment not made for them. Like come on, how long are you in the shower, do you really need to be entertained while washing your body?
I’ve noticed an increasing number of people that use their phone the entire time they’re at the urinal in public restrooms. This takes what? A minute tops? I’ve also seen people set it next to the sink to keep looking while washing their hands…assuming they even do to begin with.
Tech addiction is tough. When people don’t like their environment they try to escape it and unfortunately the black mirror is there waiting for them. It’s not productive but it provides comfort.
Yes, I am sure you $20 smartphone you bought 3 years ago is functioning super well. I think you faily to realize that more and more people only utilize their phone as their computing device. No desktop, no laptop, just a phone.
the $20 phone I got is almost completely unusable as a phone, but for browsing social media/playing music/readin books in the shower it would probably last a few weeks while being cheap enough to not care about replacing it.

you don’t need new phones, and I personally have purchased new phones (horrible carrier locked smartphones) for about $20 about 3 years ago.
