Having spent a decade as a volunteer and then paid Dem campaign staffer and heard the way the people you’ve never heard of who actually control the levers of power inside the party apparatus talk about trans people, BLM, and anything at all that might fuck up their Wall St gravy train, I can assure you that “most of the Democratic Party” is absolutely not better than this, and the few who are will never be given any power to act against the ones who aren’t.
