The US Supreme Court decided that the US Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) may not be independent anymore – with major implications for EU-US Data Transfers.

On Monday, the US Supreme Court decided in Trump v. Slaughter that the US Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) may not be independent anymore. Since 2000, the EU has relied on the “independent” FTC as the enforcer of EU-US deals on personal data. According to EU treaty law, such oversight must be independent. In the current EU-US deal, the European Commission relies on the independent FTC 259 (!) times.

      There will never be more truth while these crazy idiots are in charge. Take the reflecting pool as example, everyone saw it being painted and they were proudly yammering about it being painted. The paint failed because they’re morons and suddenly it was terrorists cutting a 300 foot liner with a box cutter.
