In reality Firefox/Mozilla have made a deal to make Google the default search engine on the default home page. That would be a pretty stupid business decision to not have free money, what are they gonna do? Have Bing as the default search engine?

That sounds like Firefox only exists because Google/Alphabet pays for it.
In reality Firefox/Mozilla have made a deal to make Google the default search engine on the default home page.
