videos from just late last year won’t play and i don’t know why

i recently switched phones from an s21 to a nothing phone 1 but it feels like that shouldn’t make a difference since the videos that don’t work are way way way before i switched phones

ive tried the default gallery app, fossify gallery and ente photos which technically worked but the video was really laggy and low fps

any ideas???
