Wyoming’s “Stand Your Ground” law says you don’t have to run from a confrontation before defending yourself. That is what Rihanna Kelver and her counsel are asking a Laramie judge to consider as they seek protection from prosecution in a felony case stemming from a confrontation outside the Crowbar.

She was clearly looking for a confrontation, and had a gun, and she intended to use it.
She had every opportunity to leave, but chose not to. Getting shoved is also not a good reason to shoot someone.
Just because you’re trans doesn’t mean you’re some saint who can do no wrong, you can be just as big an asshole as anyone else, I wish people would understand that because right now trans people get treated online like they’re always right, always beyond reproach, and always the victims, which is dumb af.
She wasn’t the one that started it. If someone talks shitty to you, you don’t have to just take it because you’re a minority.
Also, she didn’t shoot the guy.
More importantly, she didn’t even discharge the gun, even as a warning shot.
