Luigi Mangione is expected to plead guilty as early as Friday in the federal case accusing him of stalking and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, a stunning development in a case that rattled business leaders while galvanizing their critics, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Maybe if you read that you’d have some kind of understanding of the situation.
I support Luigi
But also, Luigi did it
I know that. I’ve always known that. He’s never really denied it. He just admitted it himself
We all joke around that he’s innocent and that he was with us at church or whatever… that the real shooter is a woman or whatever… but these are jokes. we don’t actually think he’s innocent, we’re just pretending like he’s innocent to show support
There seems to be a crazy amount of people who don’t understand that though and might actually think that Luigi literally was with me at church that day and that I did actually see a 9 foot Amazonian woman pull the trigger.
There seems to be a crazy amount of people who think Luigi is being framed because they apparently believed the comments they read on the internet not understanding that we’re all joking out of support
I agree and think it really was Luigi.
The reason people have convinced themselves otherwise is because that’s how strongly they want to believe in some kind of justice. So many people have lost loved ones where treatment was available, just not covered. Even more live in constant chronic pain that can only be managed by approved medication, like Luigi.
People were blowing themselves up at insurance company headquarters before this. Then they was a crackdown and things got quiet. And now Luigi continues the trend. If he somehow got acquitted it would mean there is some kind of justice out there.
It’s not Luigi himself but the idea of some kind of cosmic justice holding health insurance companies accountable, otherwise it means they’ll just keep killing people thru denied treatments and there’s nothing anybody can do. At least this time it was “one of their own” who got away with killing.
I agree, but somewhere along the line a bunch of people got confused and now literally think there’s a real conspiracy to frame Luigi who is literally an innocent man
He’s not innocent. He shot that man
We’re all just glad he shot that man and we wish he would have shot a few more
It’s not that I don’t get that people are joking. It’s that supporting a murderer is really fucking weird.
Is it not murder to knowingly turn down life saving medical procedures people paid for because doing so makes you rich?
CEOs should be fucking scared people will murder them in the street… then maybe they’ll make good decisions again
