I mean, I’ve wanted to talk deep with people, but I realised what I considered talking deep feels stupid talk when you’re not in the zone.
Like, people say they wanna talk about space and stuff, but there’s scientists already doing that, and in a more meaningful way.
Like, I can’t understand what I even want at this point. That feel of talking deep with someone, but when I actually think of talking about it, it sounds like I was high. Like what kinda deep talk can a average guy like me can even have?

Sharing your current hyperfocus can work well, but you have to introduce it gradually. Don’t infodump. Introduce the subject a few times superficially until you become known as “the guy who’s into X”. Then as some point you will be asked to explain. That’s your moment!
If you’re more into discussing philosophy and meaning of life, you need to wait for a correct setting. You mentioned it yourself. It usually includes consuming some kind of substances, but even if you don’t it’s that kind of vibe. Put yourself into “afterpaty” situations. When you do some activity (not necessarily a party) and then stay to hang out with the same people.
A lot of things interest me, especially the ones that are both technical and capture my imagination. Recently I have been really curious about animal communication, but also I had sparks of Interests in very different things, like Athen’s sortition democracy.
Sharing interests is both deep and interesting to the right crowd! Randomly spitting factoids is usually neither… so format and engagement matter a lot in this context. Also consider that some people are generally interested in random topics, others really not so much, so select your crowd.
