I’m in my forties and I’ve never been in an apartment I’ve been allowed to alter or paint. Some of us are in that situation because it’s pointless to lose your damage deposit over it, and with rental prices increasing endlessly, living in one place longer than 2-3 years is really unlikely, and I got sick of trying to decorate just to have to tear it all down constantly.
