People have left the president’s personal social media site in droves.

Active users of President Donald Trump’s social media platform have dropped like flies.

Trump’s Truth Social site, where he threatens other countries and posts self-aggrandizing AI slop, has experienced a dramatic drop in daily active users of its mobile app since last July, according to the Financial Times.

The outlet, citing estimates from the digital market intelligence company SimilarWeb, reported that the mobile site’s daily active users have plummeted from 436,000 in July 2025 to only 261,000 one year later.

    The problem is the type of people that join TS (or any other alt-right tech social service) are not actually happy preaching to the choir. They need people to argue with. So they inevitably go right back to twitter, threads, reddit, etc. when they realize they aren’t getting the negative attention that they’re used to receiving for trolling on mainstream social platforms.

      Additionally, they left Twitter in the first place because they perceived it as too liberal. X doesn’t have that reputation.

        RWAs might have their beefs, but given their proclivities (the “A” is for authoritarian, after all), they tend to want a Big Daddy to look up to.

        Anyone joining up on TS, unless they are there to just tap into what the crazies are up to are likely part of the cult of Donvict and probably are nearly all RWAs.

        Any self-styled “true conservative” (lol) that truly does not have RWA tendencies is not going to last very long, say, arguing against Big Daddy’s tariffs and how they mess with the miracles of free trade.

      Anecdotally, they seem to especially looooove FB and Nextdoor.

      FB is so deeply enshittified that any time I check in there (really fucking rare, let me tell you) I seem to only see a lot of posts from the Crazy Uncle Liberties in my life sandwiched between so much sponsored content. FB was never perfect, but it’s so much worse now.

      And by the time I joined Nextdoor, it was already chock full of Karens trying to slip in their conservative (and racist, but I repeat myself) bullshit in between complaints about what “the kids are up to these days”.
