    Not sure how I feel about this … sure it’s a very shitty practice in general. But on the other hand it only effects BMW drivers.

      That’s the thing, other brands will see this and get the same idea.

      BMW and Mercedes were the first ones to introduce a subscription to use things already in the vehicle (BMW with the Heated Seats, Mercedes locking engine performance behind a paywall)

      Now we’re seeing more brands follow the same example, like Volkswagen locking EV battery range behind a paywall.

      With BMW doing this, I assure you other brands will follow. I’m pretty sure Stellantis vehicles have been doing some form of this for a little while.
