I have set up slskd in a lxd container using the binary from github

I am trying to disable logging in while I am on my local network. I have tried setting the authenticate: disabled true flag but its not working

anybody know how to do this?

Sounds like there’s something wrong with your setup. I just disabled authentication in my config file and got the expected result. I copy/pasted the snippet below so just double check that’s what yours looks like. I also don’t have to login every time (except after a container restart) when auth is enabled as long as I check off the remember me box.

    web:
      authentication:
        disabled: true

It likely also needs an ip address range to determine what is “local” for you. Is it 192.168.1.0\24, 10.0.0.0\24 or something else. Unsure what that flag would be though for slskd.

all good now, I think it was a syntax issue on my part. I could connect fine before making the changes but after checking the spaces for the YAML file its all working now

The joke with my comment was that you give little to no context. For better advice and help giving some context may be beneficial.
