Meh.
I mostly deal with corporate lawyers, and their advice is almost always:
This is in their best interests, not necessarily their client’s best interests.
I don’t know how this applies to criminal law, obviously.
I definitely wouldn’t go erasing my phone without knowing the potential consequences.
