I don’t know of anybody who could be accurately described as “tankie” who would be against anything he’s done. They might say it doesn’t go far enough, but I wouldn’t describe that as “butthurt”. Where are you encountering comments like that?

Tankies just want to talk about Socialism in a perfect vacuum. Why would they want to talk about someone actually doing things. That requires effort.
I feel like it’s the complete opposite. The people that I see online who end up being labelled as “tankies” are usually the ones asking the hard questions about how to actually achieve socialism in the real world, while liberals and social democrats are the ones dreaming in a vacuum, basically arguing that we’ll just have to ask the billionaires and imperialists nicely to give up their money and power, etc., ad infinitum.
