Idk I had my parents have to have a similar conversation with me and it wasn’t them being jealous or narcissistic, it was me being rude to adults because I was smarter than them. Learning to not rub my intelligence in people’s faces was a valuable skill
Oh, my parents definitely needed to have that conversation with me, and they were correct. But my parents were definitely jealous, and they are definitely both malignant narcissists.
